This is a Contest Entry for the group ! Hope you like it ^^

About the picture

So, lately I've been really busy but I got some time around to finish a couple of pictures for Contests and challenges! The next one will be the Kings and Queens one (which has so many details and just...this is nothing compared to it, urgh!); still, as I read the theme, these two just came up to my mind. This one has a lot of symbolism, although I'm not sure people would get it, just because they don't know my characters well. So, I drew Grigorij as an Angel (so he stands in there for the Light part) for different reasons, first of all, his name. When I named him, I clearly pictured in mind the joke/possible affinity with the Grigori's (the fallen Angels) so that just made me firm about his name. Second of all, he is just a very good guy, who just did way too many bad decisions in youth and stuff, hereby the fire. He just burnt himself with all of the recklessness and wishes of a good time, which obviously didn't work. Irina on the other hand, is/was a lusty young girl, and didn't particularly care about others or even people close to her (here's why she's the Dark) however, behind this entire... tough appearence, there's still a teenage girl who held onto a few guys, yet never the right one. She did love Grigorij, but she'd be lying to herself, like she does, if she says she's over him, because she obviously isn't, here's why she's kneeling and holding the sword and letting the hand bleeding. I hope this made it a bit clearer for you :'D If it still didn't make any sense then...yeah x')
